I wouldn't even give this place 1 star but I had to just to rate the horrible service I had. I waited 30 minutes to get a room with no apology. Nothing for my inconvenience. Rude horrible costumer service. I will never come here again or recommend this place to anyone. Stay away from the red roof inn in Gallup nm.
Old building with old rooms. Our light over the table was missing a bulb and we quickly figured out why. It started raining and water leaked in through the light from the ceiling. In addition the lights for the bed didn't work. Once we tried to sleep you could hear every single bang and door shutting throughout the building until about midnight. We also noticed a whole lot of signs about locking your doors, etc and did notice a whole bunch of sketchy people walking around the complex constantly. Honestly there was no easy feeling staying at this place (or anywhere in Gallup, it's a hole).
Stayed here for one night but it was such a pleasant experience. The hotel was very clean, the breakfast was great, and the customer service was amazing. We accidentally left our pillows in our room but as we were checking out the maid service brought them to us! If you are willing to sacrifice a little space you will save some money and have a great stay!
Clean room. Good breakfast. Staff was nice. Fair price. Building is older but the commons areas are clean. Looks like is getting updated with fresh paint. Entrance is nicely decorated. I stayed on the second floor. Heard some steps during the night but that was all. Is on old route 66 and next to I40. Would stay here again.
The staff were super nice so late at night. The rooms were quiet, even facing the small inner courtyard. Plenty of room for a nice nights sleep. Fresh towels and linens made it a very nice stay.
