I only walked in and looked around. It had a good gift shop and a nice central common room that looked like it could be in a fantasy novel. It was fun to see the movie star names on the rooms. It's in a nice location in the city.

Our overnight stay was excellent. This Hotel was built to help cater to all the Movie stars making the old Western Movies in this beautiful area. I stayed in the same room that Lucille Ball stayed in No. 107.! Great dinner with very attentive server, sorry I didn't catch your name. Fabulous lounge & lobby with old phones old posters, old shoe shine booth & shoe shine cloths. Tiny beautiful cute bathroom with a perfect shower.
Great restaurant and the hotel had honorable guests back in the old times. John Wayne, Humphrey Bogart, President Bush sen.
Flair. Still possible to find John's Pistol in the room. Need to be renewed the next few years. Great staff.
This place is a landmark. Almost every big name in American film history has stayed here. The interior is spectacular and it almost seems like a museum. Even the horse stables still work and everything uses a great amount of style. The food is a good mixture of Mexican and American Standards. The staff is friendly and although sometimes a bit hard parking is manageable.
We were driving through Gallup NM and stopped for lunch at the historic El Rancho, the “Hollywood movie star hotel”. The hotel is indeed full of nostalgic Hollywood memorabilia, but the little restaurant has a limited menu of popular American and Mexican dishes like hamburgers, fajitas, and tacos. The dishes are named after famous movie stars who’ve stayed or eaten at El Rancho. I had the Patti Page, a char-boiled burger on grilled rye bread with sautéed onions and Swiss cheese. The burger was overcooked and tasteless, with thin evidence of onions and cheese. My wife ordered the Lucille Ball, a basic hamburger patty (no bun) with fresh fruit and cottage cheese. She liked the burger, and the fruit assortment had a huge assortment of very fresh and sweet melons and grapes. Prices are not unreasonable for the unique fame of the hotel.
Very historic place in an Indian area village.
