We were passing through Gallup and stayed across the road from Smokey's. We didn't have too much confidence of a great meal as it was quiet and a little odd. But first impressions were wrong. We had an awesome meal. We are still talking about the ribs and burgers. Service with a big smile.

Pulled pork was flavorful and moist. The fries were nothing out of the ordinary but crisp and satisfying nonetheless. The baked beans have a tanginess that is unusual. I liked them, it may not be everyone's jam. The cornbread was also tasty but a little hard and difficult to bite towards the bottom. Good service, though I didn't get my drink refilled until near the end. Make sure to try both their regular and spicy barbecue sauces on the side to see which one you like better. I found both to be the right mix of sweet and tangy, with the spicy having an appropriate amount of heat.

Pretty good! Inexpensive, great barbecue and sauces. I had the pulled pork. This was just what I needed after driving here from Albuquerque on business. Located conveniently near a few hotels, too.

We walked in at 3 pm. The sign said “wait to be seated”. No one ever came. There were people at the bar and one server there ignored us. There was another table with 6 people. I made eye contact with the server helping them. He turned his back with no acknowledgement. After waiting some time longer, we gave up and went to Freddy’s. Your loss!

The place doesn't look like much on the outside but the inside looks like redneck heaven complete with old signs, scenic murals, and brown paper covering the tables. I mean that in a good way, it's honestly quite charming. They play a good mix of rock, R&B, and pop music beyond modern, repetitive country like so many other places like it do. Overall good experience and I'll recommend others check out this little gem in Gallup!

Love this place, been here at least a dozen times and will definitely be coming back. Everything on the menu is delicious they've always got sports playing and you can play horseshoes while you wait for your food. I highly recommend the pork chop as I have yet to have one cook better definitely a 5-star rating.

Great place to go. I Ordered the crispy chicken sandwich and it was great, the batter, very moist. Brother ordered the Smokey burger with a side of Mac and cheese with green chilly avid he loved it. Loved the service and recommend this place.
