Took an age to be seated, thats why only 3 stars
Nice meal, hot.
We stopped here 2 weeks ago on our trip. There was one person in front of me trying to pay. I just wanted to do a to-go order. Nobody came to help the guy in front of me after about 8 minutes so I left.
I had the chicken fried steak, with mashed potatoes, and chicken noodle soup. The steak was crispy, and tender. The soup was amazing, and the mashed potatoes were some of the best I've ever had.
Rated our visit a 1 star because the staff is so unfriendly no one smiles here. Hostess had no eye contact seemed irritated. When a table became available she just pointed behind her said, "have a seat!" Waitress was quiet and again no smiles. When a big group came in overheard an employee tell her fellow employees I don't know you figure it out and walked off. Morale is very negative team leaders need to lead by example. Smile it won't hurt!
One loud waitress kept this from being a lovely 5 star Denny's review. I didn't catch her name but when my Mom and I stopped in for a 1AM breakfast she was cussing up a storm in the kitchen and distracting other employees from their work instead of helping the other guests or her coworkers. However, Trevor M, our host/waiter/bus boy extraordinaire was awesome and got us our food quickly (despite the waitress and her antics) and he kept the coffee coming. Way to go Trevor, thanks for picking up the slack!
