Always a great place for Gallup Mexican food. The cheeseburgers are not bad either. Chips and salsa are the staple of Generos, and they give free refills on the chips. The small and intimate atmosphere is easily overwhelmed when crowded.
The most beautiful flavorful bright red chili on stuffed sopaipilla, the best in town...huge..two people can split one for a full meal each. DELICIOUS! EXCELLENT service, fast!
I have traveled all across the southwest; if this isn’t the best New Mexican food in the world then it’s a horserace. On a busy Friday night they were humming like a fine tuned machine and stopped by to visit with us often. Doesn’t get any better for casual and authentic NM style food!

As much money as Navajos put into this place, I'm pretty sure we keep them in business. Servers eating at the booths, picking cups up by the rim while dipping hands into them, not washing them after. Script is the same, as soon as you are seated, immediately the server asks, "what drink can I get you?" My response, "Can I settle in first?"
