Management was very kind. They went above and beyond. We had an interesting experience with another guest. Management gave is a refund without our asking, just because of the crazy incident. All was well. The park and facility was wonderful and very clean. Gallup was incredibly strange. Like just keep driving strange. Year and a half later, we are still a bit traumatized.
The place was clean and well kept. BBQ is all right, not great by any means. We had the ribs and the serving were small, 3 ribs, (not much meat after bones) a scoop of potato salad and a scoop of beans.
ACTIVE Military stay FREE.. So nice of the owner. I am not active military but want to support places like this.
This is a well managed campground but tolerable for only for one or two night stays. Sites are close together and they fill up quickly. Bathrooms are well maintained and the sites are kept clean. They have a small diner serving bbq and chicken which is really good. Make reservations if you plan to stay.
Good place to stay. Easy access off I-40 and about 2+ miles from Gallup. Paved roads and all gravel sites. Delightful owners and office staff. Nice store and BBQ on site. New sites at the rear of the park. Some water pressure issues and unfortunately directly under the flight path of the local airport with takeoffs during the night. Sites are narrow and tight but long. We were there two nights in a big rig. Fuel at the exit with good pricing across from Loves.
Good place to stay. Spaces close together but comfortable. Staff is friendly. Meals available during certain times of the summer. Pulled pork, BBQ chicken, was very good. There is an extra charge for the meal which was very good. Ice cream served after dinner for a small fee. Was very good.
Camp sites did have picnic table but all rocks no grass area. Lots of full timer and all there stuff so it looks trashy.
